Sea Glass Photography

Sea Glass and Beach Blessings Captured by Lynda

Collecting rocks and fresh water sea glass along the beaches of Lake Michigan is a passion of mine.  Photographing these treasures is even more fulfilling.  To do this, I experimented with an idea to place the glass over light.  The prototype sold in a shop in South Haven after just one week on display!

A little over three years since that first sale, sea glass lovers have been purchasing my prints for their homes, businesses, and as gifts for others through art fairs, craft fairs, shops, personal showings, exhibits, my website, and word of mouth.  This summer (2010), my dream of opening my own shop has come true!  I've been blessed with the opportunity to rent some wonderful space in the downtown area of South Haven, Michigan.  It's right above MacDonald's Drug Store.  The address is 512 Phoenix Street, Suite B.  It's just a few minutes walk from Lake Michigan, and I have an extremely large amount of sea glass jewelry from that very beach!  (Yes, we call beach glass "sea" glass from lakes, as well as from the sea.)  Please click on "South Haven Shop" for store hours and information.

On this site, I've also included some beach rock pictures that were taken in natural light at sunset.  Many of these contain heart-shaped rocks (as do many of the glass photos, also).

If you are into fluorescent-looking colors, you may want to click on the album entitled, "Solarized Collection".

To view photos, simply click on "Photo Galleries". Then, five album covers will appear.  Click on one, and a gallery will open.  You will be given options that are fun and easy.  If you want to leave a slideshow and don't see an option, just push the escape (Esc) button on your keyboard.

You might also be interested in some merged photos that are sized for 8"x 20" frames.  These are on another page called, "Flips".

For those who would rather see the glass in its natural state, I've added an album called, "On the Sand".

In the "Web Store" and the "Contact Me" pages, you will also find a place to click for a set of blank-inside notecards.  (You don't have to order from the web store just to look at prices.)

Photos do not print out with my email address on them.  This was added for protection against online theft.  Each print will, however, arrive individually hand-signed.  Photos also print out with more clarity than the small files you'll see here.

Click on "Price List" to quickly view prices and sizes of prints.  Clicking on the "Web Store" will allow you to see which prints come in large sizes.  (Not all of the prints can be made larger than 8"x 10".)  It's fine to go to the "Web Store" just to look, even if you are not buying.

"Contact me" is for paying by check or money order and also has a comment box for questions without ordering.

You may pay with a credit card or Paypal in the "Web Store".

Thank you for your shared interest in sea glass and beach blessings!
